The big screen (HUD) is widescreen, which is 16:9. A picture or video that is narrower than that does not fill it, so the game would show black bars at the sides or crop it. The media library helps you spot and fix those.
#Spot a tile that is too narrow
- A yellow badge on a tile means: Narrower than 16:9 - games will pillar-box or crop this.
- A grey badge means the size could not be read. Its hint says to build a guaranteed 16:9 version with the convert button.
- Audio files are never flagged.
#Convert to 16:9
-
On the tile, choose Convert to 16:9. Its hint says it creates a new asset on a black background.
The tile shows Converting to 16:9... and the page checks back by itself.
-
Wait for it to finish.
A new 16:9 asset appears in your library. Your original is kept.
#Copy URL
Copy URL copies the web address of the asset, so you can use it somewhere that asks for an image or video link, such as an email.
