The HUD is the screen the whole room watches. It shows the game and keeps the access code and QR code in a corner so latecomers can join. Players use their phones, and you use the Host Console.

#Open the HUD

  1. In the Host Console, choose Open HUD. (In some games the button has a slightly different name.)

The big-screen view opens in a new window.

A HUD (Mobo BINGO), with the access code and QR code in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Move that window to the screen the room can see, and make it full screen.

The game fills the TV or projector.

#Getting it onto a TV or projector

The HUD is an ordinary web page, so anything that can show a web page full screen on a big display works. These are general ways to do it, not features of Gig Game.

Method How it works
HDMI cable Plug the laptop into the TV or projector, and drag the HUD window to that display.
A second window on a second screen Set your computer to extend (not mirror) the display, then drag the HUD to the second screen so the console stays on yours.
Casting Cast the browser tab with Chromecast (from Chrome) or AirPlay (from a Mac or iPad). Expect a short delay compared with a cable.
A TV with a web browser Open the HUD address in the TV's own browser.
