I can't host from my phone or tablet

Hosting needs a computer. See why, and how a tablet can still help once a game is running.

Take me there: Browse Games

The Hub explains it this way: hosting a game requires a laptop or desktop computer with a modern web browser. Mobile devices, iPads and Chromebooks cannot host a game, because they do not support running the game's Host Console and Heads Up Display (HUD) in separate windows. These devices can still join as players on already running games.

#What you can do

Device What it can do
Laptop or desktop computer Start and host games. Shows the Host Console and the HUD in separate windows.
Phone Join games as a player.
Tablet or iPad Join games as a player. Because a tablet cannot share its screen to a TV, use a computer for the HUD. Once a game is running, a tablet can also open the same Host Console, as a second controller, so you can move around the room while you host.
Chromebook Join games as a player.
