#Hosting
Do my players need to install an app?
No. Players scan a QR code or go to giggame.app/play and type the access code, and the game opens in their phone's browser.
What equipment do I need?
A laptop or desktop computer with a modern web browser, and a TV or projector for the big-screen HUD. See what you need to host.
How long does it take to run my first game?
Create an account, choose a game, and start it with Host a Game Now. Many hosts are running within minutes. See your first 30 minutes.
Can I use my own trivia questions?
Yes. Write them, import them from a spreadsheet or a document, or have AI generate them. See custom trivia.
Can I host in another language?
The Hub and this Help Center come in several languages, and a trivia pack can be written in English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, French, German, Arabic, Italian or Turkish.
#Pricing
Is Gig Game free?
You can start free with up to 3 players per game. Paid plans raise the number of players who can play at once. See plans compared.
What do I get on a paid plan?
Every plan includes all games, trivia sets, the custom builder, social media and lead capture tools, and unlimited game events. The plans differ in how many players can play at once.
What if I need a bigger crowd for one night?
Add player capacity to that one event. See adding player capacity.
What are AI tokens, and do I need them?
They pay for live AI features. All games work without them. See AI tokens.
#Your players and your data
What information do I get about my players?
You choose it. In an event's sign-in fields you decide whether to ask for a phone number or email and add your own questions. Their answers go on the event's roster and lead list. See what players enter to join and your players, scores and lead list.
Can I email my players?
Yes, with an active subscription. Import them into your contacts, then send a message. Everyone can unsubscribe. See Contacts and email.
Where can I read the terms and privacy policy?
Both are linked in the footer of every page on the website: the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
